the way east

A collaborative project with filmmaker Mathias Kögel and athletes Lena Stoffel and Aline Bock. This one month long ski, snowboard and surf exploration of Hokkaido included a hiking and snow camping traverse of the Annupuri mountain range, 3000km of driving with many cold nights in a van and several attempts at reaching the summit of Rishiri – The Floating Mountain… all in the name of a lot of adventure and a few nice images.
